Default Help with installing inner glass in Whirpool over door
Model Number: GBS277PDQ7   Brand: Whirlpool   Age: 1 - 5 years

The inner glass in my Whirlpool oven door cracked several months ago and today broke and fell out of the door - great! 3 days before Thanksgiving! Anyway I see the part online and want to order it and install it myself but cannot find out how to install it. Is the glass something that once I take the door apart will slip into place? Will I be able to even put the door back together or will springs fly everywhere and I will need to get another door and a repairman out to replace it. I haven't had to mess with any of my appliances before but in the middle of a divorce and really would like to do these things myself rather than calling the ex over to 'take care of it for me'.
Thanks for any help you can provide.
Karen

The part number that I've been told to purchase is Inner door glass

Part Number: AP2929084
made by WHIRLPOOL Our Price: $44.10

The complete instructions how to remove the oven door you can find in the "Use and care" manual on page 14. Also the door break down diagram could help you too.

Put the door on a flat surface (face down) and remove the screws from the inner side of the door. Try to remember which screw where goes .

Do not worry about "flying" parts - it's not going to happen.

- The part number for the inner door glass AP2929084

- Here are the break down diagrams for the Whirlpool oven Model GBS277PDQ7

Good luck.
Gene.
