I ran the cleaning cycle, which was the last time I used the oven. Then 2 days later husband turned oven on, after 10/20 seconds he heard a loud bang. Since then the oven elements haven't worked.

No error messages on control panel. In fact, control panel accepts instructions and shows that the oven is heating. What's kind of odd is that the top broil element in the oven is sort of slightly warm to the touch. The bottom one is stone cold.

Cook top elements are working.

Bought it in 2004. Any help appreciated!

Looks like this is a Canadian model and unfortunately there is no on-line access to any technical information or diagrams for non American models.

My thread is pretty much the same as yours. I have looked at everything and for such a loud noise I can find no evidence of a problem.

My Maytag oven/range is model #MER5755QAW. Both elements are working fine and all of the wires look good. Any help will be appreciated!

Stove is working, but the oven is not heating up. I can hear a clicking noise when I preheat the oven...noise is coming from the control panel. I can take the oven to a local repair store to have them try and find the problem, but getting the oven there is the hard part. Was hoping you could describe the "clicking" noise. Thanks in advance for any help.

The clicking noise is coming from the relays on the control board. The problem can be a bad control board or open high limit thermostat. The thermostat has to be checked for continuity first and if it's good then the control board has to be replaced. Are you willing to do the diagnosis and repair yourself?

The thermostat apprears fine. I am just dreading on spending money on a new control board. Guess that's my only option at this point...
