Model Number: 8351VB Brand: Magic Chef Age: 5 - 10 years
This is a gas Magic Chef (Maytag) Stove top 5 burner 36 inch wide unit.
Model # 8351VB, S/N 20523007WZ The unit's igniter sparks continuously when the burners are on. My assumption is that the spark module (part #AP4093214, @ $50) is defective but it seems strange that it would fail in the "ON' mode??? Help! Thank you. Jeff, it could very well be one of the small switches that are on each individual burner valve. Those are called the ignitor switch. The part # is 12002788. It is kind of weird that it stays sparking when the burners are on. You could have one of the Ignitor switches sticking. Does it happen on any switch that you turn on? If so, I would probably go with the spark module. Tom
