Model Number: RC746 Brand: Hotpoint Age: More than 10 years
The Oven refuses to work, The Range tops Work Fine, But there is no Broil, Bake, or Clean, No functions related to the oven work.
I can by maneuvering the oven switch cause the broil light to come on halfway, also I can hear the humming of the oven trying to work. Every indication is that the switch is fine (ohmed out with DVM). Any thoughts or suggestions to help solve this, I realize the age of the oven is conclusive to replacing it(over 35 yrs old) but financial and space restaints make this difficult. Everything works fine but the oven, it seems to me that if it was the element, only bake wouldn't work and ect. Fuse has been checked, rechecked, and replaced. I'm all out of options . So any help would be appreciated. |

I've tried to find any information about your oven, but nothing comes up due to age of the unit.
If you have the wiring diagram and you can post, it may help. Gene.
