Hello All,

I am renting a house that has an in wall Whirlpool rbs305pdq6 oven. I ran the self clean two nights ago and shut off the self clean a hour prior to the end of it's countdown per my landlords instructions. Now the next day, the oven turns on, but if I try to press the up arrow to make the temperature hotter, the temp goes down instead on the digital control. If I press the down arrow, it goes down to set the oven at a lower temp. So, I can no longer press the up arrow button to set the temperature higher than the default degrees when you press bake. Any ideas?

Unfortunately, you have found a quirk in the control board (AP3009794) for these ovens that seems to show up after a self cleaning cycle is run. I have done at least 6 of these in the past and each one is exactly as you described. The problem is the boards are no longer available from most part houses so you may need to do some searching to get this one fixed.

I have the exact same issue with a RBS275PDB6 Whirlpool Oven. Is it the control panel #4451333 or the microcomputer #4452240? It may be a moot point because the control panel is virtually impossible to find. It is also about half the price of a new oven.

The problem is generally with the microcomputer which as you found out is going to be difficult to find. I have seen three of these and each was the control board. But in the case of two of them, the board was still easy to find. The third one turned into a new oven.
