Cool oven does not get hot
Model Number: 30-2251 00/07   Brand: Tappan   Age: 5 - 10 years   

My gas oven does not get hot i see a glow under the door but after a hour at 400 it still was not hot..not use to gas should i have smelt some gas ?? the stove works fine

Most likely the problem with your oven is a bad igniter which has to be replaced.

- The part number for the oven igniter AP2150412

- Here are the break down diagrams for the Tappan range Model 30-2251-00-07

thank you for the information , but i husband says (who is was a maintance man for 10 years in apartments )there is a glow under their so does that mean the igniter is out???? It just is not lighting the bar ....
