My Roper electric range has started beeping and showing the error code F1 E2. I looked the codes up and it looks like that means the control board needs to be replaced. I don't know what all the control board controls but the stove top and oven work fine. Since this is in a rental house I'd like to disable the control board so the beeping would stop. Would that work without messing up anything else? This would be, of course, because the control board is pretty expensive.
