Default Gas Range Door Glass Replacement
Model Number: XL44   Brand: GE   Age: 5 - 10 years

My son broke the exterior glass of the oven door. We placed an order with GE and received a replacement glass. However, there are no instructions about how to install the glass for the oven door. Help?

In order to provide the most accurate advise I need the complete model number of the range. XL44 is not a valid model number.

Gene.

Remove the screw on each side of the door, holding the door to the door hinge and remove the door.
Place the door on the flat surface with the door handle down. Do not let the door to rest on the door handle. You have to find out by yourself which screw to remove first because I do not remember the sequence.

- Here are the break down diagrams for the GE range Model JGBP85CEA1CC

It looks like the front glass door is glued to part #314? If so, what kind of glue is used?

I do not think you have to remove this part.
The door has to be disassembled from the inner panel side.
