Model Number: RBD275PDS14 Brand: Whirlpool Age: 5 - 10 years
My double oven (Whirlpool RBD275PDS14) only works one oven at a time. If I turn on both ovens, the control panel twinkles a little then the oven shuts off and shows power failure. I can turn either oven back on, but only one will work at a time. What could be wrong? No codes are given. I replaced the control panel approx. 1 year ago and this problem started about 6 months ago.

Only thing I can think of is that you have a bad power connection.
I would check in the electrical panel first as this is the easiest. Next and a more likely location would be at the wire nuts connecting the unit to the house power. This then drops the voltage to the point where the control board does not have enough voltage so it gets confused. Could also be that the control board is screwed up and is overly sensitive to any voltage drop. If they used the screw on type wire nut I would replace them with the type that uses a brass insert. Also make sure the wires are nice clean copper any sign of discoloration or overheating must be cut back to clean copper. If the wire is aluminum be sure to use anti-oxidant grease for aluminum wire. Just do not go crazy with it as it is conductive. Not a bad idea to use it even with copper. This is probably going to be a pain to find!!! You may want to get in an electrician or an appliance tech who will actually check power at the electrical box.
