The other night after pressing "BAKE" on keypad then pressing the "Arrow Up" to set temp, my range sent sparks and some smoke out of the top of the range in the back. It also kicked off the breaker in my Elec. Panel. When I switched the breaker back on, my range started beeping loudly and "F1" appeared on the display as well as "dr". I could not cancel or change message on screen. The oven light still works. So, is this just a short in a switch that can be replaced for the oven temp, or do I need to replace the Electronic Oven Control which is much more expensive?

"Sparks" means it was an electric short some where in the range. Most likely the EOC is damaged and has to be replaced, but before you'll do it the range has to be tested for a possible short in some other parts or wires. You have to have a simple multimeter in order to perform such troubleshooting. Let us know when you ready.
