GE Profile range - problem with small lower oven
I have a GE Profile double oven range. Top is a gas convection unit. The second oven is electric and is configured as a drawer underneath the gas oven. The problem is that the electric oven is weak and takes a long time to heat. It actually takes far longer than the much larger upper gas oven. For example, it takes half an hour for it to heat up to 400 degrees. Since the lower oven is quite small, it seems to me that it should be heating up much more quickly. I am wondering if there is a faulty part. Does anyone have thoughts on what might be wrong?
Such bottom drawers usually used for warming rather then regular cooking. The heating element works from 120 VAC and is pretty weak compare to the full power 240 VAC ovens. It should be written in the Owners manual about this drawer.
