My broiler heating element burnt out and I purchased Part Number WB44T10009 to replace my old one. When I compared the new heating element to my old one, I noticed the new one is not a wide as my old one, the heating element itself doesn't seem as thick in diameter, and the bracket to hold it to the top of the inside of my range looks completely different.. I am wondering if I ordered the wrong part or if this one will work fine in my range without causes safety problems.

Thanks!

According to GE parts, that is the right element for your oven. Changes tend to be made over time so we are never quite sure what we are going to get with some parts. It should mount using the existing screws and should work as expected.
