Cooktop Light & Element Stay On
Model Number: 103.4366720 Brand: Kenmore Age: More than 10 years
When the control knob for one of the electric elements was OFF, the indicator lamp glowed (not as bright as normal) and the element remained warm. After thoroughly cleaning the pan below all the elements, and leaving the cooktop cover raised overnight, the control now works normally. There was no wetness in the pan, but some dry residue from recent spills/overflows. This was cleaned, but I did not open the control box containing switches, lamps, etc. What could have been the cause?
