Model Number: GPS366S Brand: Thermador Age: 5 - 10 years
Hello, I have a six burner thermador gps366s cooktop and some of the piezo igniters have come loose. They still work if I manually adjust them but since they are loose they just move again during cleaning. I have found the new igniter part on your web site but need some more info on installation.
What keeps the igniter attached? Is there another part I need? Does it install from the bottom? Is there a good drawing or manual for this? thanks, Billy Related Models |

Hi Billy,
What keeps the igniter attached? There is a mounting ring from the bottom of the burner base. You have to order one of them for each igniter you are going to order. In order to replace the igniter you have to remove the burner base. Thermador keeps all repair manuals as a top secret. Gene.

Hello Gene,
thanks for the response. I will try to find these rings in the parts list but it is not very clear from the exploded view drawing. I assume that they are some type of spring clip and I guess I will just learn my way thru dis-assembly. If you have any tips on the sequence of getting the burner base pan out it would be much appreciated. thanks for your help, Richard |

Richard,
The mounting ring is shown as #61 on the diagram. In order to remove the burner base (#59) you have to unscrew the venturi (#58). Use WD-40 to loose it easier. Gene.

You can use the same instructions given to Richard. You would like to use a socket wrench in order to remove the venturi.
Here are the break down diagrams and the parts list for the Thermador cooktop Model PCS364GL Gene.
