I'm having a problem with my GE cooktop, model JP385BOU1BB. The exhaust fan no longer works (either automatically with the griddle/grill accessory or manually). In researching your site, I located replacement parts; however, I don't know if I need to replace the blower unit or just the capacitor. Your help is very much appreciated.

You have to test it according to the wiring diagram which should be inside the unit.

Gene.
