My Maytag oven will not stay lit. I bought this used .. so I guess I bought someone else's problems (that said everything worked fine) The burners and the broiler seem to be working fine. I have only tried starting it up a few times but when I did.. the first time it took awhile for the burner to light and then when it did as soon as it preheated the burner cut out. Another time it took 3 minutes for the burner to light and then it went out pretty quick and then I smelled some gas- so it shut it off. The ignitor is bright red. Is that the way it should be? Thankyou soo much for any help you can give me.:)
