Model Number: GS440LEMT1 Brand: Whirlpool Age: 1 - 5 years
This has been going on for several months. The unit Preheats just fine After about 30 mins at temps 350 and above the all the lights in the control panel lite up at once and the Control panel will show PF and the time will be different by about an hour. I have a surge protector on the unit. We replaced the Control panel the temperature sensor. and the problem continued. The Control panel was replaced under warranty again and the problem continued. A month ago we replaced the spark module and the problem when away until today, the unit did it again. From what I've seen this happens when the unit needs to add heat. What else could be causing this. The oven works great other wise.

Are you sure, the wall outlet is, polarized, grounded, and supplies a constat 110 to 120 VAC ? The control "chip" will flash a "PF" code if it sees less than 108 VAC for a few seconds. If you're wiring is loose, weak, or the neutral or ground wires loose contact in the circuit, you could get the code. Another possibility would be "EMI"(electro magnetic interference) you may want to check the wiring from the DSI spark module to all the burners, make sure there are no loose connections, at the igniters and the control, and re-route the igniter wires as far away from the clock/control as possible. You could also install "Ferrite beads" (2) on the L1 and N wires at the clock connections, Part number: AP4008522 They seem to help, quite often. Good Luck,
