The control knob on front of range that controls one of eyes broke. I pulled the control panel off and found the control switch were the screws go in pulled out so i needed a new control switch. After searching and ordering one it is not the correct one however i was told that particular knob been discontinued but the one sent to me would work. This range top has both dual and single burners and the one that broke is for the front single burner. The switch they sent looks to be for a double burner. The wiring matches up except we have one red wire left over. I tried it but doesnt seem to be getting hot enough. Has the correct switch been discontinued? Or what i should i do with this remaining wire?
