How did you measure the voltage at the igniter?

Here are the breakdown diagrams and Replacement parts for General Electric JGBP30GEV1WH Gas range | AppliancePartsPros.com

With digital volt-ohmeter. If I touch the leads across the ignitor I register nothing. But touching the wire that I assume comes from the temp control up top & the other probe to any metal part of the oven I read good voltage.

Sorry for the delay.

Sounds like the problem is a bad gas safety valve.

There are four terminals on that valve in your range. One pair is for the Bake and another pair is for the Broil. Locate the pair which is responsible for the Bake. Disconnect the wires from those terminals and check for continuity between terminals. If there is no continuity, replace the gas safety valve.

- The gas safety valve Part number: AP2022753

Part number: AP2022753
