Default Oven doors Don't close all the way
Model Number: WW30430P   Brand: Jenn-Air   Age: 5 - 10 years

Appliance Parts from AppliancePartPros.com

So I have a double wall oven. Both doors were not closing smoothly, and the hinges for the upper door actually broke. Therefore, I ordered and replaced the hinges on the upper and lower doors. I also replaced the seal for the upper door since the original one was getting dirty.

Now, both doors do not close tightly (as I can see a slight gap between the seal and oven). This causes the light, in both ovens, to stay on all the time.

Please HELP!

Here is a service manual which might help

Here is a tech bulletin which seems to address your problem

I did look up the part number 12002112 on AppliancePartsPros, looks like it is 4 hinges and 4 receivers. The install sheet was also there but I could not make out the printing.

Thank you denman for the quick reply and info. I should have posted here first before doing anything. I would have saved money ordering the kit ($57) vs. having ordered the 4 hinges ($60 for all 4) and now 4 hinge receptacles ($5 each).

Hmm... I think I'll just order the kit and return the hinges, since that's the only way to get the instructions.

Thanks again!

Update...

Never received the entire kit from APP. After a very long wait because the parts were not in stock (despite showing that they were), they sent only 1 hinge and 1 hinge receptacle. I called them to let them know that part #12002112 shows 4 of each. The csr said they would send the remaining 6 pieces. A few weeks later, I received the same thing - 1 hinge and 1 receptacle. Called again and told them of their mistake. Same story from them again except this time, I didn't receive anything at all.

Although it would have been nice to replace all 4 hinges at the same time, I replaced the upper ones so the turkey could cook nicely last week. I also decided to just order 2 more hinges. After a week and a half, I was sent only 1 hinge! The packing slip shows the other 1 on backorder.

This is definitely my last order with APP.
