Model Number: rf386pxgq1 Brand: Whirlpool Age: More than 10 years
Using the accusimmer to control the 9" cooking surface with the burner control at the lowest setting that kept the burner on, it burned the chili I was trying to simmer. This has not happened before. Measured the surface temp with a digital temp meter and on the lowest burner control setting it reached 270 degrees. This is way too high for a simmer temp. All light indicate normal operation. Which control needs to be replaced, the simmer control or the 9" burner control or both?? Anything else that would cause the high simmer temps?? Any help would be appreciated.
