The convection heating element in my Bosch oven burned up. I shut of the breaker, and ordered a replacement part the next day (part #241778). I installed the replacement part and turned the power back on at the breaker box.
The oven goes through a self check, no error codes, and the convection heating element began to glow red. I DID NOT TURN ON THE OVEN..JUST THE POWER! I shut down the breaker again, waited for the element to cool. Removed it to check connections, and reinstalled it. Again, I turned on the breaker, self check sequence completes without an error, and the element is glowing red again. No wonder the first element burned up. Does anyone know what the problem is?
