Yes, it is a pretty simple job. Turn off the circuit breaker for the range. Remove two screws holding the bake element. Pull the bake element out as far as the wires go. Do not use an excessive force. Remove the wires from the old bake element and connect them to the new element. Make sure the connections are tight enough. Install the bake element in place and put the screws back. Turn the circuit breaker on and enjoy. - The part number for the bake element AP2031084 - Here are the break down diagrams for the Hotpoint range Model RS742*04 Good luck. Gene.
