This oven came with the house we bought. The oven worked fine until the self clean was used. The cook top still works but the display beeps every couple of minutes and shows "FSE1". The oven has remained locked and does seem to turn on but the the same "FSE1" displays and beeps.

Please advise.

Thanks!!!

Dominica,

I believe you mean F5 E1 code, this would indicate a problem with the self clean door latch switches, or wires. Your latch assembly is mounted on the rear of the oven cavity, you'll need to slide the range out, and remove the rear cover panel to access the latch assembly and check it for damage or a loose actuator rod.

Thank you for your response. OK I can a round piece around the same height of the door lock. It looks burnt and is round with 2 terminals. It is wired to another piece which looks like it might be the actuator? Do you need a photo?

Dominica,

Does this look like your damaged part

Part number: AP3968901
Part number: AP3968901

This is the self clean door latch motor assembly, if it's burnt or damaged, that would explain the problem.

Yes, send the photo, so we can verify the part and repair process.

Thanks,
:) :) :)
