I have a kenmore oven that works sporadically. Broil works fine, as do the top burners. When the oven is not working, I have, at times, smelled a hint of gas. When it is working, it sometimes takes forever to reach temperature. Any help would be appreciated.

Most likely the problem is a bad Bake igniter. The model number you posted does not come up. Verify and repost it.
