I have a electric Tappan Range. It's model number is TEF326FBB
The burners work, but if you press the bake button the oven just starts beeping. Tried turning off and on the electricity to it but it just keeps doing it. When it first started this beeping, it only done it after we had finished cooking in the oven. Now we can't cook in it at all. It's only been beeping at us a few days. Help! Thanks.:D

TempletonPeck,

"F3" error code means "open/shorted oven temperature sensor". The model number you posted does not come up. Verify and repost is.

Cyntharian,

"F10" error code means "Runaway temperature". If it appears at start of cooking then the problem, most likely, is a bad control board (aka a clock). You also have to replace the overlay.

- The part number for the clock is AP3956392

- The part number for the black overlay is AP2126494

Hello APPros! New member here. Can you please help me? My built-in oven Whirpool RB262PXA is giving an F5 error. When I turn BAKE on, I set the temp to 350. It powers on for about 30 seconds and shuts off for the F5 error.

I called Whirpool and advised me to turn off the breaker for the over or unplug it then power up and turn the over back on. I was advised I may have a bad circuit board???

Now in your website I came across 1 person potentially having the same problem and the part number for his board (which is most likely similar to mine) is AP38295.

Am I in the right track here? Oh one problem I've noticed is this board is no longer available for sale. What do I do next?? Please help. Thanks!!!

Check the door latch switch (#19 on th break down diagram) for continuity in both position. If there is nothing wrong then the control board is bad and has to be replaced. This part has been discontinued and is no longer available but you can try the company which does rebuild old control boards.

Wow, thanks for that break down diagram! I just tested the RTD in my Tappan TEF326FBA and it showed 1080 milliohms at room temp, so I'm guessing it is fine, but I have a runaway temperature condition. Problem is, no error codes display. Do you have to press some buttons (or a combination of buttons) to display the error codes?
I'm guessing the clock and overlay need to replaced and that's pretty much what I'd pay for a new one, so I was hoping it was just the RTD.
Thanks!
