Default Glass Cooktop Replacement
Model Number: cve3401w   Brand: Jenn-Air   Age: 5 - 10 years

I need to replace the glass cooktop on our 30" Jennair Downdraft cooktop. I find the part, but do I need to order vinyl tape to replace the tape that will be ruined when the old top is removed?

Other than shutting down the power and carefully removing the existing top are there any special prodecures that must be followed?

Thanks

Yes, get the tape. The old stuff may not come off in one piece. Other than that, it is an easy (but expensive) fix. Don't forget to remove the screws located in the downdraft.
