Our Kenmore slide in stove is 17 years old. The ignitor lights up, but the broiler will not work. The oven does still work. Do I need a new ignitor? Where can I get one? Sears has told me that they no longer carry parts for the older stoves. Thank you, Richard Moore:)

Hi Richard, Most likely the problem is a bad Broiler igniter. Check the igniter for continuity and check if there is 120VAC to the igniter while the control calls for Broil. If there is no continuity and/or there is proper voltage then the igniter has to be replaced. - The part number for the igniter is AP2014008Gene.
