Have this wall oven almost new from Lowes but discovered the broil element will not come on. I checked the element is good with meter and by switching it with the bake one - it glowed well. The terminals are on solid but it is not getting power from the controls. The broil light comes on when pushed on the panel and all timer controls look OK but I do not hear any relay tripping when broil is pressed.
I was going to purchase a new timer/clock with all the electronics and not the front control panel. Hopefully I can move over the wires and strips and get it working.
Does this sound like the right diagnosis and repair - or are there other suggestions?

Yes, you are on the right track. The new clock/timer should fix the problem.
