Hi Cindy
Most likely the problem with your oven is a blown thermal cut off due to very high temperature during the self clean. In order to replace the part, the oven has to be removed from the cabinet. If you are ready to do it yourself, I need you to post the complete model number of the oven. You can find it on the right side of the upper oven door frame. Gene.

Thanks Gene for the prompt response! I have seen a few problems with this oven following self clean. I am not going to fix it myself, unfortunately will have to call someone in to do it. Glad to understand the problem however was not by me touching something.

Hi Gene,
I'm looking for directions how to replace the thermal fix on my Whirlpool double wall oven model #RBD306PDQ10. The bottom oven has stopped heating following a self clean cycle. The fan and the control panel are still working. I purchased a Thermal Fix part number: 1061375 Part 1061375 from ************************.com Thinking I was purchasing from your site, but apparently I was not. Can you tell me if I purchased the right part or do I need a Thermal Fuse (part#: AP3110028)? Also, I need directions on how to replace. Thanks so much! Amy talleyklotz at hotmail dot com |

Thanks Man! Oh yes and thanks for pointing out the extra 15 bucks I shelled out ;-)
Ok, so I was on the right track. Thanks for the diagram. You guys rock btw and I was surprised that I hadn't ordered it from you... I must have gotten interrupted by a screaming kid or something and came back to the wrong page. My bad. |

I just wanted to say that this is a correct and easy fix. Don't be afraid to do it yourself. It took me 10 mins and the help of my husband's muscles to fix and now I've done it for 2 of my neighbors.
This forum is awesome! |
