Model Number: JGBP40BEC2WH Brand: GE Age: 5 - 10 years
It appears I need to replace the igniter (glow bar) on my Spectra XL44. Before I order the part I have a couple of questions...Do the broiler and oven both go throught the same regulator (that appears to be the case)? The reason I ask is that to broiler works, but the oven does not. When I turn the oven on I cannot "hear" gas flow, but I assume that is a safety feature that will not allow gas to flow if the igniter is not working. Is that right? I have removed the bottom of the oven and can see the igniter, but it does not "glow" like the broiler igniter when it is turned on.
