Main (8") radiant element remains hot /provides alot of afterheat once turned down. I just replaced the element- same problem. Is there some other thermostat or heat sensor I should be investigating? Thinking about moving onto the Infinite switch? Eventually the element fully cools down.

I would replace the infinite switch, It is what regulates the temperature of the burner. Tom
