Replacing outer glass door, and unable to reset into door with the left and right trim strips. New glass appears to be too wide to fit back between the trim strips,, and fit into lower slot on door.. Must I remove door assembly and reattempt ??

RF,

Yes, remove the oven door from the range, it's a lot easier to work with, and you'll have better access to the components to make a proper fit.

With the door on a coverred flat surface, with the handle up, remove the screws attaching the bottom trim strip to the oven liner and remove strip.
You should at least loosen the 2 screws holding the top trim and handle to the door.Install and center glass panel on the door, slide one side trim strip up, and make sure the top tab slips inside the corner of the top trim, repeat the procedure for the opposite side trim strip. loosely mount the bottom trim strip to the bottom of the liner, align the tabs on the bottom on the side trim strip with the outside screw hole of the bottom trim strip, and evenly tighten all the screws across the bottom trim, tighten the top trim screws, and you should be fine. Just be careful with the glass panel, and don't over tighten the screws.

Good Luck,
:) :) :)
