For a couple of months I've either waited about 5-10 minutes for oven to ignite even though the orange light has been on. I would bang the the bottom drawer which often made it ignite. sometimes i would light it manually. but now it seems no gas is coming out at all. orange light is still on and even with a lighter will not ignite. I am assuming I need the gas valve part ap3180965, but want to make sure before I pay100 dollars.

Do Not start with the gas valve, It sounds more like a weak igniter.

Just because the igniter glows, doesn't mean it is producing the amperage or voltage to the burner valve, to open it.

If you have a multi meter or a clip on ammeter you can test the igniter.

When the igniter is glowing you should be producing at least 3.2 amps and 3.2 VAC across the wires on the burner valve. anything lower will not open the bi metal switch inside the valve and the burner won't ignite.
