Model Number: FGFB33WHSB Brand: Frigidaire Age: 5 - 10 years
Our oven has suddenly developed a mind of its own. After burning a birthday cake I checked the oven temp with an oven thermometer. When set at 375 the oven was actually heating to approx. 425. When I set the controller about 50 degrees lower the thermometer dropped to 250. If I then set it back to 375 the temperature would rise again to a reading of 425Several repeat tests produced the same result. I was never able
Thoughts? Is it the control or the thermostat or...? I doesn't appear that recalibration is an option given the results. FYI I have repaired many appliances over the years but never a gas oven. So I have some skills but no experience with regard to ovens. Thanks for the help. Bill Related Models |
