Model Number: LGGF3043KFA Brand: Frigidaire Age: Less than 1 year
After a recent lightning storm we returned home to hear our Fridgidare Gallery Gas rang beeping and displaying the F13 error code. That did not reset with the usual removal of power and waiting etc..no other secret methods available..so I bought a new EOC (electronic oven control) from the appliancepartspros.com folks.
Can you folks tell me the best way to remove the front panel to access the EOC and replace with the new one? I have a list from Fridgidare of the checkpoints and minor adjustments that may need to be made. Is it a modular plug with ribbon wire attached that can be removed and simply re plugged in? Or will I have to remove color coded wires and re connect individually? Any help as usual would be appreciated. Email me directly if you like at jeff@jefflaurence.com Thanks! Jeff,
I believe the best way to reach and replace the EOC is to remove the rear control panel cover. There are no a separate membrane switches, so there are no ribbon cables to unplug. There is the overlay which is glued to the front of the EOC. It's better to replace them together because it is very easy to damage the old one while removing and reattaching it. There are couple of quick disconnect plugs and a few single wires which have to be removed from the old EOC and connected to the new one. The best way is to label them before disconnecting. - The overlay Part number: AP4433199 Gene.

Thanks Gene I have gotten on the live chat and amended the order to include the overlay. Good call. So I remove what from the rear of the oven? Is there an obvious plate or cover on the rear?..several screws? Thanks gene!
