I replaced an ignitor because although the old ignitor I had sparked it never lit the burner. The new ignitor lights the burner every time but will not stop sparking. I only have the problem when I light this burner...the others all work fine.

I tried moving the suspect burner/ignitor to another position on the stovetop and the problem followed to the new position. Also tried cleaning and making sure the the suspect burner/ignitor were both clean and dry...still keeps sparking!!!

Any ideas what to try next???

Thanks...
