My eight inch heating element stop working, what is the best way to check and repair/replace component? This repair is a first for me.

A model number may help someone help you.

Pull or disconnect the element and check it for continuity.
There is a STICKY at the start of this forum section.
Make sure to unplug the stove when doing this.
