Model Number: FEFL79DSD Brand: Frigidaire Age: 1 - 5 years
I have a Frigidaire ES340 Electric Range Model FEFL79DSD. The ceramic cook top will not heat (none of the burners including the simmer burner) but the indicators all will light up. And the oven will not heat up, but it shows it is preheating and I can set the temp. Everything seems to work, just nothing that is supposed to heat, heats.
Help! Thanks Dan Ads By Google Related Models |

Here are your parts
Replacement parts for FRIGIDAIRE FEFL79DSD Frigidaire/electric Range | AppliancePartsPros.com Here is the wiring diagram http://manuals.frigidaire.com/prodin.../316417753.pdf Sounds like a power problem the lights and control panel use 120 volts while the heating elements all require 240 volts. I think you are missing L2 voltage. Try flipping the breaker off/on slowly a couple times, sometimes you can loose half the line without actually tripping the breaker. If this does nothing, check the voltage at the plug L1 to L2 should be 240 volts L1 to Neutral and L2 to Neutral, both should be 120 volts. If OK Unplug the unit and check the wires at the terminal strip in the machine to make sure none are loose or burned out If OK Check the power at the terminal strip. Be careful as 240 volts is lethal !!!

Thanks for the reply. Let me go into a little more detail. My wife was actually cooking using the oven and it was up to temperature and working fine. During the process of cooking the meal, she tried to flip on a top burner on the ceramic top and none of them worked. She them noticed that the oven had stopped working in the mean time. I am confident the 240 is good going to the oven. My guess is the EOC unit went out.
