Default GE Profile Electric Oven - Inside Light
Model Number: JT910SA2SS   Brand: GE   Age: 5 - 10 years

We are having a problem with the inside light on the stove. It comes on and off on its own randomally. I have checked the door switch and it appears to work with no issues.

I also have removed the front electronic control panel a couple times and just put it back on without doing anything other then cleaning dust out. After replacing the front panel the light will work for up to a couple months with no issues and then return to the random on/off condition.

Is there an easy fix for this?

Thanks.

Default ge oven - inside light

Hi,

I ran across your post from last year some time. I'm wondering if you ever figured out the problem with your interior light?...

...I am having the same problem. It goes on (and sometimes off again) at random.

And I can't figure out how. If you've got any thoughts, i'd appreciate it.

Thanks!

Your control board needs to be replaced. You have a short on the circuit board that is causing it. Usually this is accompanied by and error code, usually F0,F1 or F7

Okay, it sounds like that is the only option? I am not seeing any error codes. Thanks!
