I have a Whirlpool range with an intermittent no-light problem with the oven. The broiler and burners work normally.
· Replaced AP3598752 (8190618) “Oven bake burner with spark igniter” and the oven worked fine for about 10-months.
· Igniter “snaps” 4-times, I can hear the valve open and smell gas after opening door.
· Once lit the first time, oven will maintain temperature.
· Work around: If I turn on the Broiler and heat up the oven for a few minutes, then switch to Bake, oven burner will light.
Is there some sort of Flame Detector (thermocouple, etc) that could be weak?
Thanks in advance!
Jeff
