Oven will sometimes not light
Model Number: SF362LXTT Brand: Whirlpool Age: 1 - 5 years
I have a Whirlpool range with an intermittent no-light problem with the oven. The broiler and burners work normally.
· Replaced AP3598752 (8190618) “Oven bake burner with spark igniter” and the oven worked fine for about 10-months. · Igniter “snaps” 4-times, I can hear the valve open and smell gas after opening door. · Once lit the first time, oven will maintain temperature. · Work around: If I turn on the Broiler and heat up the oven for a few minutes, then switch to Bake, oven burner will light. Is there some sort of Flame Detector (thermocouple, etc) that could be weak? Thanks in advance! Jeff Ads By Google Related Models
