Default Gas Oven Clicks Spontaneously
Model Number: SF318PEWW0   Brand: Whirlpool   Age: More than 10 years

I have a Whirlpool Gas stove/oven. When the oven is on, the igniter spontaneously kicks-on (clicks) from anywhere between a few seconds to a few minutes. It happens when the oven is warming up to temperature or at temperature. It happens when the main burner is burning and when just the pilot light is burning. The only way to stop it from clicking is turn the temperature up higher or off.

Any asssistance in this matter would be sincerely appreciated
