Model Number: GS440LEMQ3 Brand: Whirlpool Age: 1 - 5 years
I am renting and the landlord is out of town for two weeks. Last night I was cooking dinner on the gas stove top AND for the first time since I have lived here, I used the broiler. It has a custom broil option and I set it to 500 degrees. Within minutes of doing this, I lost all power to the stove/oven, except for the one burner I was using. It stayed on. I checked the breaker box and everything was as it was supposed to be. I also had someone with more experience with these matters check. Does anyone have any idea what happened? What to do? Is the fact that the one burner remained on alarming? I was told there should be an automatic cut-off once you lose power.
