Hi All,

A great range was donated to us-but it has a few issues. I am getting a code F2E0 keypad disconnected- all connections seem fine, but the keypad does not work at all.

Does anyone have input on this? I had one guy tell me that "the computer needs replaced", but before I rush out and buy something, I want to make sure I get the right thing. I am reading digital text on the screen- so it seems like that is working OK- do I order a keypad, a control, or is there something that I may have overlooked? I am on a very tight budget, and just love this range, but I gotta make it work!

I appreciate any input that I can get.

Thanks,
Jon

Jon,

Open the control panel. Remove the keypad ribbon cable to the control board at the control board. Check the ribbon cable for a hairline cracks using a magnifying glass. Clean the edge connector with a pencil eraser.

Clean the connector at the control board using electronics contact cleaner or isopropyl alcohol and a soft brush.

Let it dry. Reconnect everything and give it a try.

If it would not work then the problem most likely is a bad membrane switch but there is a small chance for the control board to be bad as well. I would replace the membrane switch first.
