I need to replace the Bake element in my oven (the element is broken in one place apparently from corrosion). I have tried to pull the unit from the bracket/female slot and have not had success. I have not put tons of pressure on it or have not tried to pry it out (understanding that the square plate should come out with the element (on this unit there are two plates - one on each arm of the element). Can this be done with a screw driver or other thin prying device? Any suggestions? I have not yet ordered the part (I believe it is AP3035472) wanting to undersand how to remove it first. Thanks for the help!
