Ok, it started out with an ignitor a year ago. Had a tech change that out. Then the oven was being sluggish and quirky , gas odor, and poor heat. Changed the ignitor. the burner lights fine but on occassion still emits lots of gas odor. A lot more than anything nornal. So the GE repair guy came out and of course he said only the ignitor could be the problem , so a new ignitor for a $271 service call. He left and the wife is complaining that the burner lights with lots of flame. That kind of resolved itself, or at least not flames shooting out of the burner pan. But still gas odors. GE person came out again today. Burner lit fine while he was here. Looks like he adjusted the ignitor a bit closer to the burner tube. But, still everything looked good while he was here. The wife comes home an hour later and of course tries out her over. Woosh, nice blue flames coming out of the burner pan. Lit with a hard woosh and lots of blue flame. Help, any ideas out there in Gas over land.
