I have a Thermador C271U wall oven that sometimes does not respond to the control panel when hot. Once the oven cools it is fine. The repairman cannot repair it because it does not fail when he is present, even when hot. After he leaves, it fails to work. Any ideas?

Hello, When I've seen this it's been excessive heat making its way up into the control panel and causing pins in the harnesses expand away from the pins on the board. Some good tell-tale signs are scorch marks on the oven liner above where the door seal makes contact with the liner, and a flattened out, burnt door seal. If you do find this to be the case you may want to install a new set of hinges and door seal. Other than that, you may need to have the two harness on the back of that touch panel replaced. KC
