surface elements on glass top

Model Number: RF388lxgq0 Brand: Whirlpool Age: 5 - 10 years

I figured out how to open/lift the glass top. The elements are attached to some type of track/rail- how do I remove the element and replace it?

Take the screws off to the rail that holds the element in question off, and then replace. Are you sure, the element is bad? Most of the times it is the switch.
