Good Day,

I have a Jenn-Aire model w2780 double in wall electric oven. I just replaced the clock module to resolve an F1 code, and now the lower oven will not achieve temperature. When set to say 350°, it will take a long time to achieve maybe 200° tops. The element does not get cherry red like the upper oven does. My hunch is to replace the lower element. IS this correct?

Also, I attempted to remove this element to check out the connections and continuity, however upon removing the (2) screws from inside the oven, the element would not pull out - something was hanging up from pulling the element into the oven box. Am I not doing something correctly? I really hope that I do not have to pull this unit out of the wall to gain access to the element connections... if indeed this is what needs replacement.

Thanks
