Oven "on" Light Stays Lit
Model Number: JBS15H1WW Brand: GE Age: 1 - 5 years
GE Oven JBS15H1WW / Serial GM154895P
The oven "on" indicator light on the control panel stays lit (red) at all times, whether oven is on or not. I have tried turning oven on, bake and broil, have turned off/on power at breaker, and the red oven on light will not go off. Suggestions appreciated! Thanks. Ads By Google Related Models

Here are your parts
Replacement parts for General Electric JBS15H1WW Electric range | AppliancePartsPros.com Sounds like the contacts that turn the light on in the thermostat (Item 14 in Section 1) are shorted together. Could also be a wire from the light has shorted to the frame.
